Federal Government: You'll Just Waste Your Money If We Allow You To Have A Choice

The Wall Street Journal reports that the Secretary of Energy, Dr. Steven Chu, is against a House bill which repeals a 2007 law mandating the banning of incandescent light bulbs in the United States.  Dr. Chu thinks that Americans are too stupid to understand why having free choice is bad for them.  You see, the more-efficient bulbs mandated by the 2007 law would save consumers money over the life of the product, even if the up-front price is higher.
"We are taking away a choice that continues to let people waste their own money," he said.
What an arrogant assclown--just like his boss.  November 2012 cannot come fast enough.
